Study Arabic in Morocco and build your skills at lighting speed! Every summer, AALIM offers four, six, and eight-week sessions of intensive Arabic courses in a small group setting. Join us in Meknes for a summer of Arabic learning, travel, activities, and cultural immersion at AALIM!
Students must apply by May 12th, 2025.

Personalized & Intensive Instruction
When you study Arabic in Morocco at AALIM, you can be sure you’re getting the most out of your class time. Summer Arabic classes are limited to eight students per section to maximize student engagement. Exact class size depends on enrollment as well as placement tests. The number of hours each class meets per week may additionally fluctuate with the size of the class, with more intensive and larger classes meeting 4 hours daily for a total of 80+ contact hours with a language instructor per session. One-on-one intensive instruction generally meets for two hours daily.
Alternatively, if these dates don’t fit your schedule or if you’d like to cover several semesters of content, have additional language learning goals in mind, or want extra time to explore Morocco, you can customize the length of your summer study. If you have any questions or don’t see your desired study dates below, please get in touch!
No matter when you begin, you’ll start off with orientation, a placement test, then get settled with your homestay family and join your group class.

AALIM works to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies in your homestay
2 daytime excursions within Meknes
2 one-day trips for programs 6 weeks and longer & 1 one-day trip for 4 week programs:
Day trip to Volubilis (Roman ruins) and Moulay Idriss, plus one other trip (i.e. Rabat, the Berber mountain village of Chefchaouen, the seaside village of Asila, or another destination)

Please Note
Orientation and placement exams will be the day prior to the start of the program. Depending on changing COVID-19 testing and precautionary measures, please plan to arrive in-country at least 1 day ahead of your planned start date. We recommend consulting with AALIM staff as you make travel arrangements.
