OVERVIEW

AALIM, the Arab American Language Institute in Meknes, Morocco, is currently seeking qualified individuals to serve as Arabic-language instructors for a variety of summer Arabic language programs ranging from six to eight weeks in length and academic year programs with instruction year-round. Priority will be given to native speakers who already reside in the region. We particularly encourage applicants who have instructional experience with Levantine and Egyptian dialects to apply. ANTICIPATED CONTRACT DATES

Training: March – May 2024, ongoing

Dates of Instruction: May 2024 – August 2024 (exact dates will vary by program). Training may begin remotely.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Masters’ degree or higher in Arabic, Linguistics, English, area studies or a related field; PhD candidates are highly encouraged to apply
  • Good command of English, spoken and written
  • Prior teaching experience; and/or
  • Experience working with international students;
  • Experience working in a position of authority with high school, undergraduate, or graduate students.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Applicants may be considered for more than one position or a combination of courses, depending on specialty and skills.
  • Position contingent upon funding.
